Titus Center for Franchising Student Lydia Ducanis Selected for Puroclean Mini-Internship
WEST PALM BEACH, FL (May 14, 2024) Lydia Ducanis, a junior Finance major with a Concentration in Franchising at The Titus Center for Franchising at Palm Beach Atlantic University (PBA) in West Palm Beach, Florida, has been selected for the mini-internship offered by Titus Center Advisory Board member PuroClean. Lydia will work for several days this June at the company’s 2024 annual convention in Denver.
“Lydia exemplifies the type of student we hope to recruit more of to our program,” said Dr. John P. Hayes, CFE, founding chair of Titus Center for Franchising. “We received several outstanding applications, but overall Lydia hit all the high notes. She scored a 4.0 in all of her franchise courses and she has the previous experience of working with the Titus Center at the International Franchise Association convention.”
To be considered for this opportunity, a student must be enrolled in the Concentration in Franchising and have completed at least Principles of Franchising with a minimum of at least a 3.0 GPA. Students submit a brief essay making the case as to why they should be selected for this opportunity. Selection takes into consideration the student’s ability to work in teams and the student’s level of enthusiasm.
“Providing our students opportunities to gain practical experience in franchising is a priority at the Titus Center,” continued Hayes. “Our students also compete for many internship opportunities every year with FranServe and IFPG.” All Titus center students are required to complete a 90 hour franchise internship.
