Spherion Named to Franchise Business Review’s 2024 Culture100 List

June 27, 2024

ATLANTA—Spherion Staffing and Recruiting (Spherion) announced today that it was recently named to Franchise Business Review’s fifth annual “Culture100” list, which recognizes 100 franchise brands with the best company culture for the second consecutive year.

“Our culture at Spherion is everything. To be honored with this recognition from Franchise Business Review is incredibly rewarding for us,” said Kathy George, president of Spherion. “At Spherion, everything starts with our local franchise owners who’ve built a culture that is truly unique in the staffing industry. You will not find a more supportive, caring, and engaged group of franchisees out there. Our Spherion community of franchise owners, their colleagues, and the corporate team is fiercely supportive. We celebrate each other’s successes, we share resources and time, and we raise each other up when it's needed. This network of support, both professionally and personally, is the foundation of the Spherion culture and the Spherion brand.”

In addition to leading in company culture, Spherion’s franchise opportunity has also earned honors as a Top 200 Franchise and a Top Franchise for Women for the second consecutive year. Franchise Business Review presented the brand with six awards in 2023, including Top 200 Franchise, Most Innovative Franchise, Most Profitable Franchise, Franchise Rock Star, Top Franchise for Veterans and Top Recession-Proof Franchise. The 2024 rankings for these awards are set to be released during the second half of the year.

Spherion is among more than 360 franchise brands, representing more than 36,000 franchise owners, that participate in Franchise Business Review’s research on the best franchise cultures. Franchisees are surveyed on 33 benchmark questions about their experience and satisfaction regarding critical areas of their franchise systems. The brands that areselected receive the highest overall ratings based on 17 unique areas that comprise a strong company culture, including leadership, core values, franchisee community, and engagement.

Spherion’s survey data showed the following:

  • 96% of franchisees agree that their fellow franchisees are supportive of one another.
  • 93% of franchisees agree they actively participate in company programs and events.
  • 96% of franchisees are likely to recommend this franchise to others.

“Finding the right culture fit is an important part of any franchise investment decision, but it can be difficult to gauge,” said Michelle Rowan, president & COO of Franchise Business Review. “That’s why we gather data on how current franchisees rate a brand’s culture. It tells you whether franchisees believe the franchisor cares about their success and how well the community of support staff and franchisees work together to achieve their business objectives. For anyone looking to buy a franchise, we recommend you start with the brands on this year’s Culture100 list. These companies are rated 20% to 50% higher by their franchisees than other franchise brands in the key areas that contribute to a positive culture.”
