SCHOOL OF ROCK ARLINGTON HEIGHTS IS READY TO ROCK N’ ROLL WITH GRAND RE-OPENING
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. - (April 30, 2024) – School of Rock, the leader in performance-based music education with over 360 schools across 16 global markets, will be celebrating the re-opening of its school in Arlington Heights, Illinois with an event taking place at 17 E Campbell, on Saturday, May 4 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The event will feature the School of Rock House Band, walk-in trials of the music education program for interested students and walk-in Rookie classes, a beginner music program for ages 4-7.
School of Rock Arlington Heights is owned by Jack Simborg. The new location will be Simborg’s first School of Rock, but not his first experience with the company. Simborg was a student at School of Rock in 2006 before going to college and graduating from Berklee College of Music, one of the most prestigious music education institutions in the nation. Later he went on to teach and direct shows with School of Rock for six years and has since played in multiple bands as a musician sharing his passion for music with his community and other music lovers.
“I have always enjoyed music and School of Rock has been a huge part of my life and my experience with the craft. I knew early on that I would want to own a School of Rock location of my own, and I’m excited to share the new Arlington Heights location with the community,” said Jack Simborg, owner of School of Rock Arlington Heights. “I’m dedicated to sharing everything I’ve learned about music with the students, and with the re-opening of our school I hope to build the confidence, care and love for music within these students, the same way the School of Rock music program did for me.”
School of Rock provides students of all ages with an exciting and engaging music lesson experience, which includes bass lessons, guitar lessons, singing lessons, drum lessons and piano lessons. Drawing from all styles of rock and roll, School of Rock students learn theory and techniques via songs from legendary artists such as Aretha Franklin, Lenny Kravitz and Led Zeppelin. Thanks to the school’s performance-based approach, students around the world have gained superior musical proficiency, with some moving on to record deals and larger platforms such as American Idol, The Voice and Broadway.
"Jack exemplifies the resilience and success fostered by our music education program," commented Stacey Ryan, COO of School of Rock. "As an alumnus and instructor who has now returned to School of Rock as an owner, he embodies the possibilities that await our students. His dedication to music and performance serves as an inspiration to all. With the establishment of School of Rock Arlington Heights, Jack and his team are poised to make a significant impact on the community. I am confident that they will offer countless opportunities for students to expand their musical education and cultivate their love for learning and performing."
