RNR Tire Express Fulfills Teacher’s Amazon Wishlist for the 2024 School Year
TAMPA, FL. (August 9, 2024) – RNR Tire Express (RNR), the nation’s leading franchise retailer for tires and custom wheels, presented its third annual Teacher School Supply Giveaway this morning to local beloved teacher Mary Van Ochten of Odessa Elementary School in New Port Richey, Fla. She was surprised with her full Amazon Wish List fulfilled by RNR, which included books, markers, pencils, notebooks, classroom decorations and more.
RNR aims to help alleviate the stress on teachers as the cost of school supplies continues to rise. Through this giveback initiative, the team is able to help a deserving teacher seamlessly transition to a new year and provide the best classroom for their students to be successful.
Van Ochten, who is entering her 18th year as a teacher, will be teaching first graders this year. Over the course of her career, she has worked with both first and second graders. She currently holds endorsements in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), Gifted, and Reading.
“Being awarded all of my school supplies for the year is an absolute dream,” said Van Ochten. “I love going to school every day to teach my students, and the ease that this provides to focus on giving them the best educational experience is indescribable. I can’t wait to get back in the classroom.”
In her nomination, Van Ochten is described as a dedicated teacher that welcomes her students to a fun environment. It is important to her that each kid feels comfortable and wants to come to school every day. Van Ochten’s love for her students extends to the summer as she hunts for decorations, treasure box items, science experiment materials, snacks, presents, and so much more. She truly believes that having the right school supplies is essential to a welcoming and fun learning environment in the classroom.
