International Franchise Association to Impart Continued Industry Success at 60th Annual Convention
Washington, D.C. (Jan. 2, 2020) – The International Franchise Association (IFA), a body that protects, enhances and promotes the franchising industry, will hold its 60th annual convention in Orlando on Feb. 8 – 11. As the largest franchise-focused convention, IFA’s event provides opportunities for the community to network in both business development and personal growth.
More than 4,000 attendees will have access to 50 education sessions, labs, workshops, roundtables and receptions among 350 supplier partners at the Orlando World Center Marriott. To ease the navigation process, the IFA has broken down suggested agendas by position, such as C-Suite, field support, operators and marketing, yet all are welcome to attend any session. Keynote speakers include Simon Sinek, a best-selling author and leadership teacher whose inspiration-based TED Talk garnered 45 million views, as well as Trent Shelton, a motivational speaker, author and former professional athlete who founded a worldwide institution for positive change.
“Year after year, franchisors, franchisees and suppliers not only walk away with invaluable new skills and resources to take back to their businesses, but they do so with a newfound or enhanced community network and a renewed drive to succeed,” said Robert Cresanti, CEO of the IFA. “There’s nowhere bigger nor better to learn and grow in franchising than what’s become the landmark event in the industry.”
Across a community of more than 1,400 brands, IFA members are in more than 300 different business format categories, individual franchisees and companies. Geared toward both established veterans in franchising and those new to the industry, the IFA convention runs the gamut from intensive summits in order to maintain long-established relationships to celebrating young entrepreneurs with its NextGen Global Competition – where winners share how they recently grew their brands. Franchisors who become new IFA members will receive a complimentary pass to the 2020 convention and bulk pricing is also available until Jan. 17.
