IFA Sponsors Bowl Game for America’s Veterans

IFA Foundation’s VetFran Program bring active duty service members to Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl

WASHINGTON, December 20 – The International Franchise Association Foundation’s VetFran program is proud to sponsor this year’s Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl on December 22nd in Fort Worth, Texas and together bring more than 50 active duty service members and veterans to the bowl game for free.

“IFA is proud to sponsor active duty service members at this year’s Armed Forces Bowl game. We continue to build our VetFran program and work to open doors of opportunity and lines of communication with people and companies that can assist veterans in achieving the American dream,” said IFA President & CEO Robert Cresanti.  “The IFA is honored to help in celebration of their service along with IFA members Sport Clips and FranFund at this great event.”

IFA member companies have a history of supporting this and other events that honor veterans, and this year, Sport Clips is taking a Hero Bus from Georgetown, TX to Fort Worth, bringing Purple Heart recipients and their spouses to the bowl where they will be recognized on the field at half time. FranFund also has a long-running history of sponsoring this event, and this year they are co-sponsoring with VetFran, raising awareness of this great opportunity among the wider IFA community.

The Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl features the Houston Cougars and the West Point Black Knights, and will be played at the Amon G. Carter stadium. The nationally televised event has been a tribute to our nation’s armed forces for 12 years and running, and will feature a variety of tributes to the different branches of the military, charitable giveaways and exhibits by Veteran Service Organizations.
