IFA BOARD OF DIRECTORS EXTENDS CATHERINE MONSON AND LEADERSHIP TEAM’S TERM FOR SECOND YEAR; IFA Foundation Board of Trustees Also Announces Extension of Officer Terms through 2021
Washington, Nov. 30 – Today, the International Franchise Association (IFA) announced the re-election of Catherine Monson, CFE, President and CEO of FASTSIGNS International, to a second year as Chair of the IFA. Along with Ms. Monson, the IFA Board of Directors also extended the terms of Vice Chair Charlie Chase, CEO of FirstService Inc., and Second Vice Chair Jerry Crawford, CEO of Jani-King, International. The IFA Board voted unanimously to make these one-year appointment extensions.
IFA Chair Catherine Monson, CFE added “I am humbled and delighted by the vote of confidence from IFA’s Board of Directors to serve as Chair for a second year. The past year has presented both unforeseen challenges and new opportunities for franchise businesses, and as we have time and again, our industry can play a leading role in our country’s road to recovery. I am grateful for the continued support of Robert Cresanti, Charlie Chase, Jerry Crawford and the entire IFA Board for their steadfast leadership and stewardship of this incredible association.”
IFA President and CEO Robert Cresanti, CFE said, “I am delighted that the IFA Board has voted unanimously to keep our leadership team in place for another year. As Chair, Catherine has guided the IFA with deft and wise leadership, care and concern for our members, and a strong vision for the Association and its future. With Catherine, Charlie Chase, and Jerry Crawford leading our Board over the next year, the IFA is in very good hands.”
Additionally, the IFA Foundation announced the extension of its Board of Trustees officers’ terms through 2021 to continue the sound leadership over the past year. IFA Foundation Chair Tony Valle, CFE, Vice Chair Dan Monaghan, CFE, and Second Vice Chair Mary Thompson, CFE, will continue in their executive capacities next year.

The one-year extension of the IFA Board of Directors and IFA Foundation Board of Trustees officers’ terms will commence in February 2021 at IFA’s Annual Convention.
