First IFA-sponsored international franchise show, will grow IFA’s reach internationally and expand world-class franchise expo with new educational offerings and franchise opportunities

WASHINGTON/LONDON – The International Franchise Association (IFA), in partnership with MFV NSE, today announced a new partnership with the International Franchise Show London. IFA will serve as the exclusive and title sponsor of the event, expanding the association’s reach around the globe and bringing new franchise opportunities and education to the United Kingdom.

“This partnership helps solidify IFA’s presence as a global trade association and the ways we can help expand franchising in new corners of the world,” said Matthew Haller, president and CEO of the International Franchise Association. “We look forward to showcasing IFA’s work to protect, enhance, and promote franchising on the world stage and providing prospective business owners, brands, and suppliers with the tools they need for success. Thank you to MFV for your partnership, and we look forward to growing the countless opportunities franchising provides to aspiring business owners around the globe.”

"We are thrilled to announce that the IFA is now the major sponsor of our industry leading Franchise Show in the U.K.,” said Christian Yandell, Managing partner of MFV NSE, the event owner and organizer. “IFA is an essential organization within the franchising industry worldwide, and we are proud to have them join us as our official sponsor. Their participation brings with it their expertise in the advocacy, education, and growth opportunities to the franchise community.”

Today’s announcement expands IFA’s footprint outside of the U.S., for the first time bringing its advocacy and education work directly to international partner organizations. This new partnership will not only showcase franchise opportunities in the United Kingdom but will open the doors to U.S. brands looking to grow their reach abroad and international brands looking to grow in the United States.

Seventy percent of Americans say they want to own their own business in the future, but don’t know where to start – and franchising helps provide them with the tools and playbook to do so. Nearly one-third of current franchise owners say they wouldn’t own a business without franchising.

IFA has placed a strategic focus on the importance of educating prospective franchisees on the opportunities in franchising and providing them with the tools and knowledge they need to make an informed buying decision – working to ensure the greatest pathway to success for both franchisees and franchisors. As the world’s oldest and largest association representing franchising, IFA is in the unique position to be the objective source of information worldwide dedicated to helping the public, policymakers and the entire franchising community with resources and education they need.

The International Franchise Show London held a record-breaking event in 2023, with over 11,000 visitors in attendance from 46 countries, the biggest franchise show to date in the UK. In addition to the expo, the event features education sessions from leading international brands. With IFA participation, the show is expected to grow in size and offer new, essential educational content. More information on the show is available here.
