From Networking to Award Recognitions: Tutor Doctor Celebrates Franchisees at Annual Global Conference
TORONTO – Tutor Doctor, the leader in one-to-one private tutoring, recently held its annual conference where the system came together in-person for the first time since pre-COVID. More than 120 franchisees gathered in Orlando, FL for this year’s conference, “Dream. Believe. Achieve.,” where they spent three days celebrating Tutor Doctor’s achievements while preparing for its next era of success.
Franchisees heard from guest speakers and the senior leadership team, participated in networking and round table discussions and were celebrated during an awards dinner. Keynote speakers included Gary Prenevost, President of FranNet Southern Ontario and Eastern Canada; Omar Soliman, Co-Founder of College Hunks; and Michelle Campbell, CFE, Director of Strategic Alliances at BNI. The Tutor Doctor network was also joined by some special guests for the unveiling of the new X-Skills program, a one-to-one coaching program that addresses the needs of a growing market of students seeking to improve their executive functioning skills, which left franchisees feeling inspired and excited for what’s to come.
“Still dealing with the aftermath and challenges the pandemic had on education, our franchisees persevered and all contributed to the overall success and growth we had this year,” said Frank Milner, President of Tutor Doctor. “This year’s conference was particularly special as it further strengthened our system as one and gave us all a renewed energy to continue building on this positive momentum.”
The tutoring franchise’s conference wrapped with an award dinner where dozens of franchisees were recognized for their work and commitment to the Tutor Doctor mission of changing the trajectory of students’ lives. The “Franchisee of the Year” award that recognizes the franchisee who has played a role in the company’s success and been a role model for the system was given to Piyush Gupta who owns Tutor Doctor Peterborough, Huntingdon, and Stamford in the UK.
“It’s an honor to receive this recognition for my team’s commitment to providing exceptional service to students in our community,” shared Gupta. “While we’ve been able to reach hundreds of students in various capacities – this award isn’t just for us here at Tutor Doctor, but also for the incredible charity workers, teachers and educators outside our organization who play an equally great role in making a positive impact on our students.”
Presented to the franchisee who demonstrated significant service to the entire system and community, the “President’s Award” was given to Veronyk Zinn and Tiffanie Cormier of Tutor Doctor Sudbury in Canada. The 2022 “Rookie of the Year” was presented to Adie Twining who has seen great success since opening his location in UK’s Central Southampton Salisbury in April 2021. In addition to strong revenue, Twining also embodies the Tutor Doctor spirit and values through his offerings of free English Speaking Language (ESL) lessons to Ukrainian children who were uprooted from their home. Additional awards and recognitions were given out including the, “Customer Service Award,” “Hall of Fame Award,” Top Producer Award,” and the “Marketing Execution Award.”
