Cleared for Flavor: Bobby’s Burgers by Bobby Flay Arriving at Raleigh-Durham International Airport
RALEIGH, N.C. – Bobby’s Burgers by Bobby Flay is making its landing at North Carolina’s Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU), one of the country’s fastest-growing airports.
Intelligration Capital, LLC (ICBB), the franchising company for Bobby’s Burgers, announced today that it has inked an agreement with Grove Bay Crawford JV, LLC (Grove Bay Concessions) for a new location in RDU. The site is expected to open at the end of 2024, offering travelers The Ultimate Burger Experience, no matter if they are arriving or departing.
“As we continue to expand, I am thrilled to bring Bobby’s Burgers to RDU, which is already well-established as being one of the nation’s hubs for high-profile restaurants,” said Chef Flay. “This will be our second airport location, and I’m so happy that we’ll soon be able to reach hungry travelers going to and from Raleigh bringing the crave-able flavors of Bobby’s Burgers wherever our dedicated guests are.”
Grove Bay Concessions, founded by Co-CEOs Ignacio Garcia-Menocal and Francesco Balli, are adding Bobby’s Burgers to their extensive portfolio of prestigious restaurants found both in streetside locations, as well as in Miami Int’l Airport, Seatle Int’l Airport, and Rhode Island TF Green Int’l Airport. National concepts include Burger King and Dunkin Donuts, while local concepts include Narragansett Brewing Company, Black and White Coffee Roasters, Whalers Brewing Co., Salty’s at the SEA, Crawford’s Genuine, Bond Brothers Beer Company, Spring House Seafood Grill, and more.
“Bobby’s Burgers fits perfectly into our portfolio of concepts. The culinary genius of chef Bobby Flag and the menu he created will bring a highly memorable dining experience to our guests,” said Balli. “We aim to have a balance between our restaurants, seeking a local connection by establishing brands at both the local and national levels. Choosing Bobby's Burgers for RDU was an obvious choice thanks to the brand’s delicious food and the supportive team behind it,” added Garcia-Menocal.
Bobby’s Burgers is inspired by Flay’s love of grilling and his travels throughout the United States, infusing a flavor profile reflective of his two personal passions into every bite. The chef-driven menu was exclusively developed by Flay and is offered in a convenient format at a reasonable price point, allowing everyone to enjoy dining by Bobby Flay. Bobby’s Burgers differentiates itself in the competitive burger, QSR and fast casual categories with a proof of concept that leans toward offering guests, whether in-person, delivery or pick-up, an elevated burger quality and restaurant experience. For thousands of travelers departing from and arriving daily, Bobby’s Burgers will bring strong culinary appeal. The concept’s full complement of renowned hand-crafted, chef-driven menu items include mouthwatering burgers such as the signature Crunchburger®, tasty sides, spoon-bending shakes and more that will be available, along with exclusive breakfast menu items.
“Working with experienced operating groups like Grove Bay Concessions ensure we’re on the right path for brand expansion,” said Michael McGill, President of ICBB. “We are looking forward to the opening of the RDU location, growing our presence in airports. We are currently seeking experienced restaurant operators, like Grove Bay Concessions, that are interested in Franchising with Flay to bring the brand to prime markets nationwide.”
