Office Pride
The Building Service Contractors Association International (BSCAI) awarded Office Pride Commercial Cleaning Services Area Developer, Troy Hopkins, with the Walter L. Cook Award for Distinguished Service. This award is given to a BSCAI member who has made outstanding contributions for programs of the association, as well as to the entire building service contracting industry. Congrats Troy!

Potbelly Sandwich Shop is set to open 13 new shops across North and South Carolina. Brent and Michele Brouse are the entrepreneurs behind franchise investment and are set to open the first of these shops in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Abrakadoodle Remarkable Art Education had its 15th annual conference in November, bringing together franchise owners from across the nation with the theme of “Power of the Brand.” Attendees highlighted accomplishments and build the brand’s identity, sharing personal stories and discussing community service. Veterans Awarded Vacations
As part of its 8th annual “Operation Vetrepreneur: Become Your Own General,” Dream Vacations awarded five military heroes with free travel franchises. The contest was open to former members of any of the five branches of the United States military who are retired. Since 2012, more than 2,400 veterans have applied for this program.
Corral’s Great Cause
This past Thanksgiving, Golden Corral hosted their 27th annual Thanksgiving feast as part of their Helpings from the Heart program. The event served more than 20,000 free meals to residents of Orlando. The meals give people in the community comfort and care, all while bringing together non-profits who aim to help Golden Corral’s fundraising effort, including The Salvation Army, as well as businesses such as Floyd’s 99 Barbershop.
