4-Part Series: September 18, 21, 25 & 27, 2023 (All 4 days required)
The resale of an existing franchise creates significant demands on a franchisor’s limited organizational resources, which can often be better deployed on recruiting new franchisees or supporting existing operators.
Managing franchise resales so that they occur as quickly and efficiently as possible is in the best interests of the franchisor, the franchise network and the franchisee whose business is for sale.
By clarifying and expediting the process, not only can the franchisor reduce the demands on their resources but can facilitate the exit of selling franchisees (who can often be disengaged or underperforming) with more aligned and higher-performing operators.
This workshop explores how to manage franchise resales to achieve better outcomes for franchisors and franchisees alike.
2-Part Series: October 10 & 12, 2023 (Both days required)
Franchise Advisory Councils (FAC’s) are a representative committee of franchisees which act as an interface between franchisees and franchisors on tactical and strategic issues. They can provide significant benefits to both groups when established and run correctly, and help build competitive advantage for a brand by fostering a culture of engagement and innovation.
FAC’s that are focused and operated correctly are an asset to a franchise network, however FAC’s that are poorly structured and managed can quickly lose their way and lose credibility with both franchisees and franchisor management. Participants who register for this workshop are also recommended to attend the Organize a Franchise Conference workshop as well.
This workshop provides a unique opportunity for mature systems to learn how to reinvigorate their Franchise Advisory Council’s, and will provide developing systems key pointers on how to establish an effective FAC that helps maintain and enhance the franchise relationship.
2-Part Series: November 6 and 8, 2023 (Both days required)
Organizing a franchise conference is one of the most difficult jobs in a franchisor’s head office, and one with significant responsibilities.
When done well, a good conference can help lift network sales, franchisee satisfaction and compliance, and provide an overall positive impact on the network. When done poorly, a bad conference can have the opposite effect.
But despite their status as a flagship activity of the franchisor, many franchise conferences are organized hurriedly, without adequate planning and resources.
This workshop covers critical factors to consider when planning your next franchise conference and will provide greatest benefit to those participants who will be holding a conference in the next 12 months.
2-Part Series: November 27 and 29, 2023 (Both days required)
