The Best Coffee Franchises to Own in 2022
Coffee shops have plenty of cold drinks that provide a buzz on hot days making coffee franchises a strong year-round investment.
According to Mordor Intelligence, the global coffee market was valued at US$102.02 billion in 2020, and it is projected to reach a CAGR of 4.28% during the forecast period of 2021-2026. Mordor believes this growth will come from increased demand for certified coffee products as consumers become more conscious of the products they purchase, as well as constant innovation lead by top franchises in the coffee market.
Turning to one of the leading markets in coffee consumption, the United States, an analysis by Statista found that Americans consumed nearly 1.6 billion kilograms of coffee in the 2018/2019 fiscal year, an increase of 5.9 percent from the previous fiscal year. The US coffee industry showed its resiliency during COVID-19, with sales decreasing by only 1.7 percent and revealing that most Americans consider coffee to be a necessary expense in their budgets. This resiliency shouldn’t be surprising as MSN reports coffee is the third most-consumed beverage in the United States with a 12.6 percent beverage consumption share, just behind soda, and water but beating out other popular drinks like beer, wine, milk, and sports drinks.
