IFA Celebrates Giving Tuesday

This time of year is one to treasure. It serves as an annual occasion to spend time with family and loved ones and gives people time to reflect on the values that bind us and causes that animate us. Around dinner tables and in countless conversations with friends and family, this season presents us with a unique opportunity to take time out of our crowded lives to appreciate and express gratitude for the people who make our lives full. The Thanksgiving holiday also provides us with a moment to pivot as we look toward the end of the year, a time often marked by a spirit of giving.

Here at the International Franchise Association, and the IFA Foundation, that spirit of giving is on the top of our minds. The IFA Foundation performs critically important work to the mission of the IFA — to protect, promote and enhance the franchise business model. We do this by promoting the next generation of young franchising entrepreneurs; by uplifting the voices, experiences and talents of those from underserved communities; and by connecting our nation’s veterans to business opportunities in franchising through leveraging their unmatchable skill sets.

Every day, the IFA Foundation’s program areas and efforts touch and benefit the work of the IFA and its members. We are especially proud that so many of our members make the IFA Foundation a key part of their philanthropic giving each year.

This year, the IFA Foundation is doing even more to raise awareness and funds for its work by participating in #GivingTuesday. #GivingTuesday falls the Tuesday after Thanksgiving each year, and it kick-starts the most active time of the year for charitable giving in the United States.

During this #GivingTuesday, I hope that you’ll consider giving to the IFA Foundation. Any amount — large or small — helps the Foundation change the lives of individuals by growing opportunity within the franchise industry, and assists in our wider efforts to share the good news of franchising through key non-profit programs.
