How IFA Has Helped Sustain My Business

When COVID-19 arrived in the U.S. and the entire country went into crisis mode, I was about five months into my role as President and CEO at Goddard Systems, Inc. Over the last year and a half, we – small business owners and larger organizations alike – have had to and continue to navigate the pandemic together.

I am thankful that the International Franchise Association shepherded us through the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic while securing much-needed financial assistance for franchised small businesses through initiatives such as the Paycheck Protection Program. IFA worked tirelessly to ensure that franchisors, franchisees and their employees were equipped to hold steady in a rapidly changing business environment.

The collective leadership and membership of the IFA has experienced many unexpected and new situations as a result of the pandemic. As recently appointed Chairman and CEO of Goddard Systems, I am heartened to see the lessons and best practices shared among franchisors within our franchising association. As a Board Director, I want to thank you for being a dedicated member of the IFA.
