yoga franchises

As consumers return to physical activity post quarantine or seek to reduce the aches and pains from a more stationary work-from-home lifestyle, yoga and pilates franchises are a strong investment for the second half of 2022.

According to Wellness Creative Co. and Allied Market Research, customers spent more than US$88 billion on studio memberships and classes for the global yoga and pilates market, with that spending expected to reach $215 billion by 2025 (a CAGR of 11.7 percent). Those numbers however, don't include secondary purchases such as clothing, mats, blocks, and other accessories, which already total more than $130 billion. The American yoga and pilates market alone is worth 12.8 billion and growing at a rate of 9.8% annually.

Yoga, pilates and other low impacted strength and flexibility activities are rising in popularity due to the practices’ recognized health benefits. A study from IBIS World finding that the number of Americans participating in a stretching routine rose from 20.4 million in 2012 to 55.1 million in 2020.
