Pride Franchise Leadership Council
The Pride Franchise Leadership Council (PFLC) was established in September 2019 to spearhead IFA’s diversity and inclusiveness efforts at every level and in every corner of franchising.
Leaders within the franchise community are embracing diversity among franchisors, franchisees and employees, spreading the word that franchising offers unlimited opportunities to entrepreneurs without prejudice.
Through mentorship, networking, and events, the PFLC seeks to encourage more LGBTQIA+ business owners around the country.
Key accomplishments include:
- Platforms for LGBTQIA+ franchise owners, employees and allies to share their experiences. By showcasing diverse voices, the Council fosters an inclusive environment that celebrates differences and promotes understanding.
- Webinars, workshops and training sessions on LGBTQIA+ issues that empower and inform franchise businesses about the importance of diversity and inclusion.
- Collaboration with like-minded organizations, advocacy groups and educational institutions that result in community outreach projects and other joint initiatives.
- Networks for LGBTQIA+ franchisees and employees that provide safe spaces to connect, share experiences and offer support. Mentorship programs – pairing experienced LGBTQIA+ owners with newcomers to the industry – encourage community and mutual growth.
The PFLC is committed to education, advocacy, community engagement and data-driven strategies that will further transform the franchising industry into a more equitable space for all.
