Launched in 2022 as part of this campaign, the Open for Opportunity Roadshow is an ongoing series of events hosted across the country.  These events are designed to help decisionmakers and opinion leaders understand firsthand the value and opportunity of franchising and empower them to promote the business model.

Open for Opportunity local events are hosted by IFA member companies and individuals in each market. State and city lawmakers and area business executives attend to learn more about the critical role the franchise business model plays in strengthening local economies. Events typically include:

  • Meetings, luncheons and dinners with key local partners like chambers of commerce and economic development agencies
  • Executive roundtable and panel discussions on topics such as workforce development, community and veteran engagement, and diversity, equity and inclusion
  • Tours of local franchises to offer a firsthand look at the demanding yet rewarding responsibilities of managing a franchise
