RALEIGH-BASED FRANCHISOR JOINS TOP BRANDS TO EDUCATE LEGISLATORS ON CAPITOL HILL
Washington, D.C. - Charles and Carolyn Thurston, the founders and owners of Wisdom Senior Care which is a home care franchisor based in Raleigh, North Carolina, recently joined other top franchise brands for a legislative reception with the new 118th Congress on Capitol Hill.
As part of the International Franchise Association’s Open for Opportunity Campaign, the event included franchise brands Wisdom Senior Care, The UPS Store, Jimmy John’s, Woofies, Dunkin’ Donuts and Wendy’s.
“Being a member of the International Franchise Association (IFA) allows Wisdom Senior Care to collaborate with Members of Congress to talk about the core values of franchising such as promoting, educating and protecting the brands industry. We are honored to be a vessel in the franchise community,” said Charles Thurston, Wisdom Senior Care COO and Vice President of Sales.
The IFA launched Open for Opportunity in the fall of 2021. The campaign highlights the benefits found and opportunities achieved through the eyes and in the voices of franchisees. Open for Opportunity highlights franchising’s many benefits for the workforce, specifically multicultural and veteran communities. Open for Opportunity holds events like this to engage the public, influencers, decision-makers and elected officials with the message that franchising opens doors to opportunity.
