IFA Foundation Concludes Its Inaugural Giving Tuesday Campaign
Jan. 3, 2018 - The IFA Franchise Education and Research Foundation successfully raised over $10,000 along with awareness of its important work through its inaugural launch of the 2017 Giving Tuesday Campaign, which concluded on November 28, 2017. This grassroots fundraising effort is connected to #GivingTuesday, a national day of philanthropy, aimed at encouraging a day of giving at the start of the holiday season. The Foundation looks to build upon that success next year.
“We didn’t know what to expect when we joined the Giving Tuesday Campaign, but our community and staff is so committed to giving all year in their local communities that this effort just makes sense,” said Mary Heitman, the IFA Foundation’s President. “We are thrilled to see our members support the programs of the Foundation which increases opportunities and resources in the franchising industry.”
The IFA Foundation is a franchise leader and premier resource of education and research in this sector, and brings franchise opportunities to veterans, women, minorities, and the next generation of franchise leaders. The funds raised through this campaign will go to support these crucial initiatives.
The success of the campaign was made possible by the many small-dollar donors, many contributing less than $100. It was also supported by multiple corporate sponsors, including We Sell Restaurants, Figaro’s Pizza, Nick-N-Willy’s Pizza, Pizza Schmizza, FirstLight HomeCare, InXpress, Darter Press, and Location 3. These companies and donors across the franchise community showed how franchising gives back and shares in the spirit of the Giving Tuesday Campaign.
