International Franchising Fundamentals

International Franchising (IF) is an expansion and distribution model used in many industries to multiply the value of the brand. IF can be a successful and efficient expansion model in cross-border strategies but requires major preparation.
Developed in partnership with the University of Louisville, the online International Franchising Fundamentals course is designed to expand your knowledge in the dynamic world of franchising on a global scale. This one-week, online instructor-led program covers essential topics like expansion strategies, the importance of understanding global trends, and lessons learned during new country expansion.
Participants will benefit from a blend of practical insights and content delivered by experts in the field. This course is a high-level introduction to International Franchising where students will explore:
- five international franchise business models,
- franchisor feasibility for cross-border entry,
- lessons learned during new country expansion,
- expansion strategies pertaining to product adaptation, supply chain, and international partners, and
- the importance of cultural agility and understanding global trends.
