Seven Pet Daycare Franchises to Invest in 2022

Share

As the summer heat sets in and people race for vacation destinations, many will need to find a daycare center for their pets, making pet daycare franchises a hot investment.

Previously, we discussed the top six pet retail franchises to invest in 2022. Another booming part of the $70 billion pet care industry is the pet daycare industry. According to Grand View Research, the global pet sitting market was valued at USD $2.6 billion in 2019 and is projected to grow at a CAGR of 8.7 percent through 2027. The key market drivers are increased consumer spending on their pets and services needed, which has resulted in a growing need for time-saving pet care services.

Another strong sign for the pet daycare franchise market? The rising rate of pet ownership, particularly across U.S. and European countries. A Pulse Study by the American Pet Products Association from Yahoo! News found that roughly 12.6 million U.S. households got a new pet during the COVID 19 pandemic in 2020 and far fewer people gave up pets than in a typical year.

This growth has already translated to lifts in other pet-related services; veterinary clinics saw spikes of 20-40 percent in demand the past year, a growth so strong that according to Bureau of Labor Statistics, the number of veterinary jobs is expected to grow 16 percent by 2029, nearly four times the average of most other job industries. Veterinary tech jobs are expected to increase even more, almost 20 percent in the next five years.

So as we’ve seen, purchasing a pet daycare franchise will likely be a sound growth investment. Check out these seven dog and pet daycare franchises ready for the summer vacation season:
