TORONTO (April 1, 2025) – In honor of National Volunteer Month (April), Weed Man – the fastest growing lawn care company in North America – is celebrating a year of impactful franchisee-led charitable efforts, surpassing $100,000 in donations. These initiatives underscore the brand’s deep-rooted commitment to giving back locally and establishing franchisees as trusted community partners beyond their lawncare expertise.

As Weed Man gears up for its busiest season, franchisees are doubling down on their dedication to philanthropy, actively seeking new ways to give back this spring and beyond.

“Our franchisees are passionate about the communities they serve, and their generosity shines through across our system,” said Jen Lemcke, CEO of Weed Man. “We were thrilled to see the overwhelming success of our inaugural Grassroots Giving Food Drive and the many other impactful initiatives our franchisees have spearheaded.”

In fall of 2024, Weed Man launched its first-ever Grassroots Giving Food Drive, encouraging customers and franchisees to donate shelf-stable, non-perishable food and household items to benefit local food banks. Across the system, the campaign collected an astounding 76,000 pounds of food – equivalent to roughly 64,000 meals. Beyond food donations, franchisees dedicated their time to meaningful causes including volunteering with lawn and landscape companies to maintain the grounds at Arlington National Cemetery as a part of the National Landscape Association’s annual Renewal & Remembrance event.
