Hounds Town USA CEO Ranks on Franchise Dictionary Magazine’s 50 Women of Wonder List For 2023
RONKONKOMA, N.Y. – Franchise Dictionary Magazine recently revealed its fifth annual 50 Women of Wonder (WOW) list, and Jackie Bondanza, CEO of Hounds Town USA, has earned a spot on the prestigious list.
The annual WOW list recognizes women driving change within the franchise industry. Nominated by readers for their strategic approaches and forward-thinking perspectives, these executives are paving the way for women in franchising.
“Since I first became a part of the franchise community ten years ago, part of my mission in addition to growing my own company was to change some of the statistics for women in business,” says Bondanza. “Far too few women make it to the CEO space-only 19% of CEOs running this year’s Inc 5,000’s top companies in the country are women. I want to help change that for any woman who wants a shot at the top. I love that Franchise Dictionary Magazine is a part of this mission as well.”
Bondanza first joined the Hounds Town brand as a customer in 2013, where she met the founder and her now-husband, Michael Gould. After becoming a dedicated fan of the dog daycare concept, Bondanza began working for the brand, where she increased profits at the corporate store, opened, ran, and sold a second company store, and developed a franchise plan to expand across the country. Bondanza’s innovative, intentionally slower growth approach has catapulted the brand to new heights and has fueled its continued year over year triple-digit growth across the country.
“Highlighting our ‘50 Women of Wonder’ is an annual tradition, and we are truly proud to honor the contributions of these incredible women,” says Alesia Visconti, CEO of Franchise Dictionary Magazine (FDM). “We see more and more women in the franchise space, and our fran-tastic WoW winners are women at the very top! They don’t merely break the glass ceiling, they shatter it! They are powerful leaders who guide their organizations to wild success and all of us are better business professionals due to them sharing their insights and wisdom!”
The complete list of recipients can be viewed here and is featured in the October issue of Franchise Dictionary Magazine.
Following years of impressive growth, the brand has established a prominent U.S. presence across the country. Hounds Town was named a top franchise for 2023 by Franchise Business Review. Hounds Town ranked #24 out of 50 in the “Small” (under 80 units) category, in addition to placing as a top franchise in the Pet Services Category. In addition, Hounds Town was identified by Franchise Business Review as being one of only 50 franchises to qualify as a 2022 Top Franchise for Women. The brand also landed on Entrepreneur Magazine’s coveted Franchise 500 list in early 2023.
