MARYLAND RESTAURANT EXECUTIVE TO JOIN FRANCHISE ASSOCIATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS

WASHINGTON, Feb.14— Chick-fil-A Capital Centre Owner-Operator Keith Singletary Sr. has been named to the International Franchise Association’s Board of Directors. He will assume the position Feb. 17 at the conclusion of the IFA 49th Annual Convention in San Diego.
Founded nearly 50 years ago, IFA is the oldest and largest organization that works to protect, enhance and promote franchising. Its membership includes more 1,250 franchise systems, 11,000-plus franchisees and more than 500 firms that supply goods and services to the industry.
Singletary has served more than eight years as an owner-operator of two Maryland Chick-fil-A franchises. Within the past four years, sales for the Largo, Maryland restaurant have positioned it as one of the top five restaurants within the chain.
He has over 20 years experience in financial management, operational and compliance auditing as well as background in community relations and marketing and sales. Prior to joining the company, he was a government audit consultant with Blue Cross & Blue Shield Association in Washington, D.C. Previously, he was a capital expenditure accounting manager for Marriott International and had served in several positions with the National American Red Cross. Singletary was also a senior auditor in the Inspector General’s Office of the Environmental Protection Agency.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Accounting from Cheyney University in Pennsylvania.
