Steve Hockett, President of FranChoice

Steve Hockett is the President of FranChoice, Inc., the premier network of franchise referral consultants in the United States. FranChoice matches pre-screened, high-quality prospective franchisees with the best franchise opportunities for them. The service is completely free for consumers, and franchisors only pay for a referral when a referred person becomes a new franchisee in their system.

Mr. Hockett began his career at FranChoice as a highly successful consultant, bringing together prospective franchise buyers with their ideal business ownership opportunities. After developing strong working relationships with both the franchisors and other consultants, Steve's leadership capability was recognized and he now is focused on building and enhancing the FranChoice consulting network.

Part of Mr. Hockett's extensive business experience includes seven years with US Bank, based in Minneapolis, MN. His first assignment was to advise middle market companies on strategic planning, acquisition and various growth opportunities. Later, he assisted large construction companies with the financing of their business expansion and developed internal strategies to extend construction lending into the Pacific Northwest markets.

Prior to FranChoice, Mr. Hockett spent twelve years with Great Clips, Inc. in a varied career starting as a franchise owner and ending as the Vice President of Operations. During this tenure, Steve worked extensively in both marketing and operations, both in the field as the Regional Director for the Great Lakes area and in the headquarters as V.P. of Operations. He was also involved in establishing the strategic direction for the company as a member of its executive committee.
