Registration is now open for IFA’s 9th Annual Franchise Appreciation Day (FAD), September 15-16, at the JW Marriott in Washington, DC. FAD is your opportunity to voice your opinion on the public policy issues affecting franchising and your livelihood. Last year, more than 530 franchise executives heard from lawmakers and policy experts and attendees then went to Capitol Hill and relayed their personal stories…and Members of Congress listened! Anyone on the Hill will tell you -- the weight of a constituent’s words is greater than the weight of any lobbyist. Members of Congress need to know the real-world affects of their lawmaking on you -- their constituents. We will get you ready for your meetings, providing you with guidance on how to conduct an effective discussion with your Members of Congress. We will arrange the meetings for you on Capitol Hill. All you have to do is join us and get engaged in the fight to protect your business. Our keynote speaker is Paul Begala, one of America’s top political strategist. During lunch on Tuesday, he will present unique insite and dissect the 2008 presidential candidates, their platforms adn what it will really take to win the election. From the White House's Situation Room to CNN's news program of the same name, Mr. Begala's experience gives him an unmatched perspective on politics and the media – which he’ll share with you this September.
